Karina's Maternity Session

This was a fabulous session, and I'm not just saying that because the main star is my little sister Karina. Okay, maybe I am- but seriously, have you ever seen such a beauty?

Her little family is about to get a little bigger with their expected son arriving in early January. We can't wait...there's absolutely NOTHING sweeter then the soft cries, and newborn scent of a baby.

Love you baby Nicolas, and love you Karina. You are an amazing mother and I know without a doubt that your baby boy will be loved beyond measure.

Pardo Family 2012 -Family Session

I love this this quote, and I think it truly encompasses the overall feel of this special family session.

Carla and I have been close friends for many years, and have seen each other through many of life's trials and joys.

This past year has brought on many changes for this family, and I really wanted to do something special for them.

When considering where to shoot their yearly 'family' session, I really felt that the 'light' had to be just right. And as all photographers know, there's no better light then in the evening, just before the sun sets...perfect.

No matter where we set up, it felt as though the light followed and lit them up beautifully & combined with their inner light, I felt a sense of peace and reflection through this session...

Paula & Mike- Fall Wedding 2012

I've known Paula for a few years now, we met through our mutual friend, Steph. In fact, Steph set these two up a few years ago as they were both coming out of unhappy relationships...and guess what?
They 'clicked' instantly! Although I know that blended families can have tough beginnings, they can certainly also have sweet endings.

And that brings us to September. 15, 2012...the big day...

Paula was stunning in her gorgeous flowy dress and I loved the bright green accents that that they incorporated with shoes and ties. Super fun group, full of energy and laughter, it was a great day!

Mike & Paula, congratulations on this new journey- you both deserve happiness and acceptance. I wish you all the best, and I'm grateful to have had the chance to capture your beautiful day.

Matt & Lyndsay- Family Session

Summer = weddings and Fall = families...

Fall is here already and with that, the beginning of family sessions. My first of the season was a fun little family who had a lot of spunk and a little one year old with the best hair EVER! We chose a nice location in Fish Creek Park for this photo shoot- vibrant colours and plenty of space for little, one year old Kasyn to explore...

Graham & Erin Okotoks Wedding...

This has to be hands down one of the funniest groups I've ever shot. 

It's rare that you meet a bunch of friends who have been through all of life's pivotal moments and this group has. They've all known each other since elementary school and relate in such an intimate way that as a photographer, it was glorious to witness.

Erin & Graham- you two are truly a union that many would envy...the respect, awe and love that you share is infectious. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day and I wish you both all the love & blessings that a marriage brings.
